Our aim is to make English accessible to all.
I taught in Vietnam, volunteering in pre-schools (Kindergartens) and I felt compelled to do more, just next door in Cambodia there was even more poverty and a desperate need for English teachers.
I got on a bus and went across the border.
I was surprised just how many people believed learning English would lift them from poverty. (There is a large element of truth to this).

About Me.
I am in my late 40`s and 7 years ago I became a little lost until realised that I wanted/ needed to travel.
I started my adventures by buying a red ex-post office LDV Maxus Van (hence #secondclasshobos) and converting it into a camper.
I travelled for a year throughout Europe in this van.
France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Spain and Portugal.
Below, the first van I built.
I loved the freedom this kind of life gave me and that it was very affordable.
On my return to the UK, I continued to live in the van and planned my next trip.
This time I wanted to visit somewhere where I would have a complete culture shock and life would be very different.
I looked to the East.
I had always had a desire to visit Vietnam, the photos fascinated me and the life looked far removed from my own.
Below, floating village Siem Reap.
So I did, I took the bus to Phnom Penh, the capital.
I spent a year there teaching in a school to pay my way and met up with a bar owner who was feeding some of the children off the street, not long after I was teaching the children in his bar when it was empty in the morning two days a week, I also taught a lad going to university on the weekend. (we are still friends on Facebook).
When the city became too much I returned once more to the UK.
I bought my second van on my return. I traveled to the Orkney Islands to collect it. It was a big old Mercedes.
I eventually sold it and went back to living in a house for a while.
Whilst planning my next trip Covid hit and I was grounded.
As we (the country) came out of Covid I was desperate to travel once more. I toyed with the idea of Mexico but I felt I had unfinished business with Cambodia, this time I would head for Siem Reap.
I lived in Siem Reap for just over a year, I mostly taught paying adults locally at a hugely discounted rate. (whilst paying my bills by teaching online) Eventually, I realised that I could help more people over the Internet. (this is where the idea grew).
Where a I now?
I am back in the UK mostly staying around the South West.
I have been moving from house to house as a pet and house sitter, when not sitting I can stay one or two nights in my stealthy campervan but for longer periods I head back to my hometown and stay with family.
The idea of making English learning accessible was really evident when some of my online students would ask me ''how do I improve at home?"
I have been telling my students for ages that the key is to listen to native English speakers for hours and hours.
Ergo the Podcast was born, and from there I have been building and building.
You can be a part of this now by buying me a coffee or joining the members club for exclusive access to special podcasts, courses and much more...

Below is a good representation of Somerset, where I call home.
